Maria Grazia Romeo

CV

My fine art practice began at an early age and was nourished by my upbringing in Bolzano, Italy. By the time I was in high school, I had received national recognition for my artwork. I later completed my formal education with a doctoral degree in Economics at the University of Rome, Italy.

After immigrating to North America, I furthered my education with graduate courses in Canada (McMaster University – Hamilton, Ontario) and the United States (SUNY at Albany, NY, and SUNY at Stony Brook, NY) in life drawing, printmaking, photography, mass media psychology, computer graphics, the history of art, and art criticism. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of my fine art practice, I work in a diversity of mediums and exhibit in a broad range of contexts. From educational films to magazines, poetry books, advertising material, interior design, and stage design, my work traverses corporate, educational, and museum contexts. Several prominent collectors house my pieces in diverse locations, including: Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, and the coastal US.
